FREEPORT - The Silver Creek and Stephenson Railroad, the Silver Creek Depot, the Freight House gift shop and the Silvercreek Museum will open for the 2008 season on Sunday, May 25 and Monday, May 26, starting at 11 a.m. each day. The train will leave the depot at 11 a.m. and then every hour on the hour through the last run of the day at 4 p.m. Tickets are purchased in the Silver Creek Depot, which is filled with railroad memorabilia, at a cost of $5 for adult rides and $3 for children under 12 years of age. Cab rides are available at a cost of $10 per person. The Freight House gift shop will also be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day and has many items for the train lover as well as items for the Stephenson County Antique Engine Club.
