MONROE - Fowler Dental Clinic will be sponsoring Give Kids A Smile events during the month of February to provide underserved children with free dental services.

Give Kids A Smile is held annually to:

• Provide free, easily accessible dental services to qualifying individuals.

• Raise awareness of the untreated dental diseases occurring locally and nationally and create local public and private partnerships to increase access to oral health care to solve this crisis.

This is the first year the event has been hosted in Monroe to provide free dental care to local children who need it. Fowler Dental Clinic with area dentists are hosting Give Kids A Smile events in February on three dates at three locations.

No early registration is required. The event will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Friday at Fowler Dental Clinic, N3150 Wisconsin 81; Ganshert Dental Clinic, 1001 6th Ave. West; and Carter and Eckdhal Family Dentistry, 912 16th Ave. The event will also be held at Fowler Dental Clinic from 1 to 5 p.m. Feb. 12 and from 1 to 4 p.m. Feb. 19.

The American Dental Association launched the Give Kids A Smile program nationally in 2003 as a way for dentists to join with others in the community to provide dental services to underserved children.
