Free admission for military personnel

NEW GLARUS - New Glarus' Swiss Historical Village, 612 7th Ave., New Glarus, will join more than 1,300 museums across America in offering free admission to military personnel and their families this summer.

The special circumstance will coincide with an initiative of Blue Star Museums, a partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, and more than 1,300 museums across America to offer free admission to all active duty military personnel and their families from May 30 (Memorial Day) through Sept. 5 (Labor Day).

The free admission is available to active-duty military possessing military ID and up to five of their immediate family members. Members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, active duty National Guard, and active duty Reserve members will be accepted.

New Glarus' Swiss Historical Village is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., seven days a week. For more info, email Denise Anton Wright at dawright@scls.lib.wi.us.
