Frank "Biff" Borowitz and Jolene Whitehead, Monroe, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Kira Ann Borowitz, to Brett Eric Cowan, son of Barry and Janet Summers, Monroe.
The bride-to-be is a 2003 graduate of Monroe High School and a December 2007 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a bachelor degree in art history. She is employed as a customer specialist by Ashley Furniture Homestores.
The future groom is a 2000 graduate of Belleville High School, Belleville, Ill., and a May 2007 graduate of Highland Community College. He is employed as a personal trainer at St. Louis Workout.
A June 7 outdoor wedding is planned at the bride's parents' home with a reception to follow.
The couple resides in St. Louis, Mo.
