Maria L. Vargas, Petaluma, Calif., graduated from Sacramento State University with honors in the bachelor of science nursing program on May 24, 2008. She is a 2002 graduate of Casa Grande High School, Petaluma, and a former student with the Monroe and Darlington school districts. Maria's grandmother, Dorothy Wicklund, St. Germain, a retired St Clare Hospital nurse, was present at the ceremony to pin on Maria's nursing pin. Maria is the daughter of Nancy Vargas and Rich Bracco, Petaluma, CA, and Enrique Vargas, Kenosha.
