'Decorate the Cow' at this year's July 4th celebration

WIOTA - The annual 4th of July celebration in Wiota will be held Thursday, July 2, through Sunday, July 5. Ball games will begin at 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday; at 11 a.m. on Saturday; and after the parade on Sunday.

Volleyball games will be held on Saturday, and a Big Wheel kids race on Saturday morning. A street dance with music from the band "Whiplash" begins at 8 p.m. Saturday.

On Sunday, church services in the park start at 9:30 a.m. Any makeup ballgames (if necessary) will be played from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The parade will start at noon, and an ATV pull will begin right after the parade, along with championship ballgames and Little League games, all on Sunday afternoon.

Sunday evening there will be a Talent show, starting at 7 p.m., and then an auction of the 'Decorate the Cow' contest will start at approximately 8:30 p.m., followed by the grand finale, the fireworks.
