ALBANY - Francis Beers, New Glarus, will speak to the Albany Historical Society about the Cold War years at its next membership meeting, 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, at the Museum, 119 N. Water St., Albany.
Beers will divide his talk into three parts, covering how we got into the Atomic Age, Beers will take you in the trenches with him and what happened during the blast and after and the effects on the troops there. Beers is the founder and commander of Post 69 AmVets, New Glarus area including several members from Monroe.
Visitors are welcome and refreshments will be served.
