MONROE - The Christmas Bird Count will be held on December 20 (not December 13 as reported earlier). This is the 108th year of the Bird Count; a national and international activity, to monitor numbers and distribution of birds.
Locally, John Patterson will lead the count and will give a brief description at the Audubon Program 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, at the Monroe Public Library second floor meeting room. Following this, Steve Reischel will describe his work banding owls.
