Chamber plans social networking seminar

MONROE -The Monroe Chamber of Commerce and Industry wiill present a social networking seminar and luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, March 5, in the Monroe Clinic Founders Hall meeting room, lower level of Monroe Clinic building.

Two social networking professionals will give you their insights into best use practices. Ruth Rohlich, Project Director for Wisconsin Women's Business Initiative Corporation from Madison will talk in depth about these social networking mediums. She will share with you how her clientele utilizes these programs and what works best for them. Deanne Boegli, National Public Relations Manager at TDS Telecommunications Corp. will be sharing with you her experiences in managing social media platforms such as: LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube at TDS.

TDS uses major social networks in various capacities to communicate in outages, to share new product information, and to give customers a general look inside the company. Boegli will talk about their ever expanding use of the tools, how to segment them, and why it's important to evaluate your participation in the online communities.
