MONROE - Join the Relay for Life of Green County Committee members from 1 to 5 p.m. April 29 at Turner Hall, 1217 17th Ave., to celebrate cancer survivors and have some fun during their "Celebrating Cancer Survivors Fundraiser" with music by Gary's Ridgeland Dutchmen.
The admission cost will include $1 donated to Relay for Life.
There will be prize drawings, door prizes and other fundraisers for the American Cancer Society. During entertainment breaks, cancer survivors will be recognized, the June 23 Relay for Life event will be promoted and there will be dancing.
Proceeds from the event will support the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life in Green County event June 23 at the Stateline Ice and Community Expo, 1632 4th Ave. West. Relay for Life is the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society and is staffed and coordinated by volunteers in thousands of communities and 27 countries. Volunteers give their time and effort because they believe it's time to "Take a Bite Out of Cancer."
Join committee members to bring communities together, to remember loved ones lost, honor survivors of all cancers and raise money to help the American Cancer Society make a global impact on cancer.
For more information, contact Darlene Arneson at 514-4951 or Sue Buetzer at 966-3362.
