Patterson joins hospital staff

DARLINGTON - Audiologist Dr. Emily Patterson has joined the staff at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County.

Patterson received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Audiology and Speech Sciences from Michigan State University. She received her Doctorate of Audiology from Purdue University and completed her clinical fellowship from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Ind. She is a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.

Some of the services she will offer will include hearing evaluations for all ages including industrial, hearing aid evaluation and fitting, and custom-made ear plugs for water and noise protection. Sanders named to state hospital board

MONROE - Michael Sanders, president and CEO of Monroe Clinic, has been named to the Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Hospital Association. Sanders has served on WHA's Advocacy Committee from 2008-2010, and is currently president of the association's southern region. His term begins this month.

The Wisconsin Hospital Association represents 132 hospitals and health systems. It advocates on behalf of its members to enable them to continue to provide high quality, accessible healthcare services in Wisconsin communities. The WHA board is charged with setting strategic direction and policy for the association.

"It is certainly a time of great change and many challenges for health care in our country. I look forward to working with the board to ensure an environment supportive of exceptional health care for all during these difficult times," Sanders said.
