Blood drive exceeds quota

SOUTH WAYNE - The Cross Blood Drive held Friday at Marty's Village Inn collected 33 pints to exceed the 25 pint quota.

Penny Berget was a first-time donor; Jim Meier reached the 12 gallon mark; Keith Jackson reached 13 gallons; and Lonnie Stauffer reached 17 gallons.

Other donors were: Mary Zimmerman, Katlyn Steinmann, Molly Salzwedel, Loretta Brummel, Larry Burkhalter, Suann Newingham, Cheryl Dale, Tom Wellnitz, Joan Jenson, Sam Neuenschwander, Connie Meier, Gary Burns, Robert Hall, James Meier, Betty Lehman, Tommy Miller, Donald Seffrood, Ed Ernst, Debra Wolff, Eleanor Gille, Vernon Gille, Mary McKnight, Jenny Burns, Chuck Wick, Dawn Oliver, Cody Ames, Donna Wyss, Karen Signer, Laurie Monson and Jeff Monson.

Donating to the Canteen were South Wayne Mart, milk; Valley View Cheese, cheese; Renita Berget, Kathryn Larson and Joyce Paulson, sandwiches; Marty's Village Inn, coffee; and Connie Meier, sausage and cookies.

Helpers for the day were Carole Broge, Penny Berget, Kathryn Larson, Connie Meier and Mandi Pomplun.
