NEW GLARUS - The non-partisan volunteer citizen's group Green County United To Amend will be hosting a free screening of the PBS Frontline film "Big Sky, Big Money" from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 26 at the New Glarus Village Hall community room, 319 2nd St., New Glarus.
The film is 52 minutes long, and there will be discussion with a question-and-answer session afterward regarding the upcoming advisory referendums that will appear on ballots Nov. 8 in the following Green County communities: Town of Cadiz, Town of Decatur, Town of Mt. Pleasant, Town of New Glarus, Village of Monticello and Village of New Glarus.
All Green County citizens are invited to learn about the mission and goals of the movement of United To Amend and gain insight into why local referendums and resolutions are tools used by voting citizens to provide messages to legislators about the negative effects of "big money" in political systems.
Refreshments will be provided.
