MONROE - Sarah Alexander and Sofia Larraga Martinez were selected as delegates and Amy Whiteman was selected as an alternate for Badger Girls' State representatives for 2011.
The delegates will be attending the Wisconsin American Legion Auxiliary Badger Girls' State at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh during the third week in June.
Alexander, daughter of Barb Alexander and Kevin Donar, is a member of FBLA, FFA and Costa Rican Exchange. She was in softball, volleyball, swimming, Pep Band, the Prom Committee and was chosen Prom Queen. Her future plans are to attend either the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay or the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee to study communications and humanities with psychology and government minors.
Larraga Martinez, daughter of Hector and Faviola Larraga, is a member of FBLA, Investment Club, Student Senate, German Exchange and Club, PACTO, and National Honor Society. She is in swimming and soccer. Her future plans are to study a business-related field. She is undecided about the college she will attend.
Whiteman, daughter of Troy and Nadine Whiteman, is active in dance, choir, band, Jazz Band, Pep Band, Marching Band, cross country, and was in the musical. She plays the piano, trombone and oboe.
Her future plans are to attend the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and major in either biology or chemistry, and also to train in massage therapy.
