MONROE — Chris Schindler and Ryan Wild went from business concept to fully functional business in two years. Badger State Cold Storage is a 68,000 square foot cold storage and freezer facility located at 210 10 1/2 Street in Monroe.

The new facility will provide 10,248 pallet positions to serve the south-central Wisconsin dairy and confectionary industries.

Construction of the facility by Keller Inc. in partnership with PDC Electrical Contractors began in September 2018 and the building was completed this summer. To celebrate the opening of the state-of-the-art storage facility, a reception included a VIP tour followed by an open house with ribbon cutting ceremony by the Monroe Chamber of Commerce Aug. 23. The chamber is proud to have a strong partnership of business owners bringing such a high demand facility to Monroe.
