FFA archery

shoot a success

MONTICELLO - The Monticello FFA, in cooperation with the Marshall Bluff Bowhunters Club, hosted the 3rd annual 3-D archery tournament Saturday, Sept. 10.

FFA members were encouraged to shoot on the 28-target course, because for every FFA member (from any chapter) who shot, the Monticello FFA Chapter doubled the entry fees and donated them to the Interfaith Hospitality Network, a program offered by Family Promise of Green County designed to help homeless families gain independence.

During the shoot, 19 FFA members completed the course, earning $151 in member entry fees: a $302 donation by the Monticello FFA to the Interfaith Hospitality Network.

The rest of the money earned throughout the tournament and through a separate raffle was divided between the Marshall Bluff Bowhunters and the Monticello FFA Chapter. The proceeds will go toward various student and community opportunities.
