BTC to offer sewing, quilting classes

MONROE - A sewing and quilting class will each be offered at the Blackhawk Technical College Monroe campus, beginning with "Sewing: Tote bag," which will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13.

"Nine Patch and Beyond," a quilting class offering easy quilting instructions with variations, will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3.

Colleen Gift will be the instructor for both classes.

South Wayne

Church supper slated for Oct. 12

SOUTH WAYNE - Our Savior's Lutheran Church, South Wayne, will host a soup supper and harvest sale/auction on Wednesday, Oct. 12 at the church, 407 E. Center St., South Wayne.

Supper will be served from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., and the harvest sale/auction will follow the supper. The menu will include homemade chicken noodle soup, chili, cheese, homemade bread, bars, pie, ice cream and beverages. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under.

WTU banquet ticket orders due Oct. 27

MONROE - Whitetails Unlimited (WTU) will sponsor the South Central Wisconsin Banquet on Friday, Nov. 4, at Peppercorn Banquets, 1417 Mansion Drive, Monroe. A social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m., with dinner at 7 p.m.

The event will feature a two-meat buffet, auction and prizes with products including firearms, outfitter packages, hunting and outdoor related equipment, artwork and more.

Tickets are $45 each, $35 for a spouse, or $30 for juniors 15 and under. The deadline to order tickets is Oct. 27; tickets will not be sold at the door. Proceeds from the banquet will go toward local conservation and youth outdoors projects.
