Deadline for pie sale orders is Nov. 13

ALBANY - The Albany United Methodist Church is having a Thanksgiving pie sale.

Four types of 9-inch homemade pies are being pre-sold: pumpkin for $8, apple for $9, cherry for $9 and pecan for $10.

Those interested can call (608) 862-3260, (608) 862-3079 or (608) 897-2692 by the Nov. 13 deadline.

Pies can be picked up and paid for Wednesday, Nov. 23 at the Albany Lions Building, 402 N. Cincinnati St., from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

Winneshiek Players seeking prod. crew

FREEPORT - The Winneshiek Players is seeking a technical production crew, including set building and construction, painting, lighting, sound effects, light board and sound board operators to kick off its 86th season of "It's a Wonderful Life: Live from Winneshiek Radio" on Nov. 17 to 19.

They are looking for people with carpentry and painting skills who have an interest in theater to fill roles as soon as possible.
