Women's luncheon set for March 14
MONROE - The "Focus on the Goal" Luncheon, sponsored by the Stateline Women's Connection and Stonecroft Ministries, is set for 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 14 at Peppercorn Banquets at Ludlow Mansion, 1417 Mansion Drive.
The cost is $9 tax, tip and program.
The luncheon features "Importance of Family Portraits" presented by Dawn Meier from Portraits by Dawn. Meier will speak on new ideas for having family and individual portraits taken. She will show the importance of creating a family heirloom for future generations.
Barb Malone, Escanaba, Mich., will speak on "Keep Your Eyes on the Goal." Malone will speak about reaching goals and how life can give new ones.

Missionary to speak March 25, 26
LENA - Ivan Tait will be ministering at 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sunday, March 25 and 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 26 at The Father's House Church, 216 W Mason St.
Tait is a missionary who has built many orphanages in Guatemala and Kenya. Children's services are available on Sunday at the 9:30 a.m. meeting only. Admission is free and offerings will be taken throughout the meetings.

St. Pat's music planned March 15
MONROE - The Friends In Faith Ministry of the Monroe United Methodist Church will host "A Prelude to St. Patrick's Day" at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 15 at the church, 2227 4th St.
Bill Reints will be on hand, along with Linda Wendt and Joel Brantmeier, to provide an afternoon of Irish music and song. Hailing from Monroe, New Glarus and Janesville, the trio will perform musical selections inspired by the "Emerald Isle" plus a few pirate and pop tunes.
Reints and Wendt may be familiar faces to many having played together for a number of years as members of the Celtic band "Stone Ring."
The event is open to the public. There is no fee for admission but a free-will donation will be collected at the door. Advanced reservations are not required but would be appreciated.
