DAR meeting is slated for Feb. 7

MONROE - The Col. Benjamin Harrison Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7 at Pleasant View Nursing Home, N3150 Wisconsin 81.

Barb Nemec will present an informational program about the DAR's role in the national defense throughout history and presently.

The group is considering activities that support historical preservation and patriotism in the communities.

MONROE

Shakespeare group open house set

MONROE - Shakespeare on the Edge, Inc. is hosting an open house from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3 at the Monroe Arts Center, 1315 11th St.

The open house is open to all ages and allows people interested in the group to learn more about the 501(c)3 organization.

Youth and teens can register at the open house for the Shakespeare Project that begins Tuesday, March 6.
