Audubon Society meeting is on Feb. 15

JANESVILLE - The Green-Rock Audubon Society will host a presentation from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15 at the First Congregational Church, UCC, at 54 S. Jackson St.

The presentation will be by Dr. Kent Hall, Janesville, who will speak on "Learning to Think Like a Bluebird." The event is free and open to the public.

Topics include a Power Point presentation to highlight the different nest box species and a demonstration on different nest box styles to attract bluebirds, tree swallows, chickadees, and wrens.

Nests and eggs of bluebirds, wrens, chickadees and tree swallows will be available for viewing. Nest boxes, mounting posts and informational packets can be purchased.

Monroe

Stamp and postcard club to meet Thurs.

MONROE - The Monroe Stamp and Postcard Club will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9 at the Monroe Public Library, 925 16th Ave.

The meetings are always at 7 p.m. the second Thursday of the month the library.

The purpose of club is to help those interested in the collection of any item that could or did go through the mail, including stamps, postcards, letters and other postal history. The club also promotes the collection of coins and tokens.
