APPLE RIVER - Fall Eagle Fest, sponsored by Eagle Nature Foundation Ltd. and Jo Daviess County Convention and Visitors Bureau, will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 1 at the Galena Convention Center in Galena, Ill. The festival opens at 9 a.m. with displays of the finalist's entries in the school art contest, photographic exhibits, environmental displays, commercial booths, a food booth and a fund-raising auction. The essay and art contests are open to any public or private school, or home schooled students, from sixth grade through 12th grade.
