MONROE - First Baptist Church will hold its annual missions conference through the month of September at the church, 853 31st Ave.
The church theme for the month is "Water of Life," and how God compares the Gospel to water, that it might give life to those who receive.
Each Sunday, a missionary from a particular country will present a slideshow or video about their ministry to that country. The missionary will preach at a later service.
The schedule is:
n Sunday, Sept. 2: John Chilufya, missionary to Zambia. The slide presentation will be held at 9:30 a.m., and preaching will take place at 10:45 a.m.
n Sunday, Sept. 9: Joe Tacon, missionary to Italy. The slide presentation will be held at 9:30 a.m., and preaching will take place at 10:45 a.m. Jonathan Rehfeldt, missionary to Uruguay, will be at the evening service held at 6 p.m.
n Sunday, Sept. 16: Matt Hanna, missionary to Taiwan. The slide presentation will be held at 9:30 a.m., and preaching will take place at 10:30 a.m.
n Wednesday, Sept. 19: Bethany Mealy, missionary to Ireland.
n Sunday, Sept. 25: Matt Decker, missionary to Ghana. The slide presentation will be held at 9:30 a.m., and preaching will take place at 10:30 a.m. Bryan MacPhail-Fausey, missionary to Cameroon, will be at the evening service held at 6 p.m.
n Sunday, Sept. 30: Luke Crocket, missionary to Ivory Coast. The slide presentation will be held at 9:30 a.m., and preaching will take place at 10:45 a.m.
