Merlyn and Betty Barker are celebrating 65 years of marriage with a family dinner. Merlyn and the former Elizabeth Marty were married on April 16, 1950 at the United Methodist Church in Orangeville. They have four daughters: Dianna (James) Setterstrom, Orangeville; Linda (Craig) Montgomery of Monroe; Katherine (James) Matzke of Monroe; and Vicki (Tim) Wedig of McConnell, Ill.
