ALBANY - The Albany Historical Society general meeting starting the fall schedule will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Albertson Memorial Library, 200 N. Water St., Albany.
The program is by Wisconsin author Jerry Apps, who grew up on a farm in Wisconsin and has appeared on Wisconsin Public Television programs. He writes novels and nonfiction about the outdoors, Wisconsin country life and rural living for adults and children.
Apps will be speaking about "Barns of Wisconsin." His program is co-hosted by the historical society and the Albertson Memorial Library.
All historical programs are free and open to the public. Membership to the Albany Historical Society is open to anyone interested in "Saving Albany's Past for the Future." The Historical Museum is open 9 a.m. to noon every Saturday from Labor Day through Memorial Day and is at 117-119 N. Water St., Albany.
