GREEN BAY - On March 18 and 19, Albany FFA members attended the FFA 212 Degrees Conference, a two-day personal development seminar in Green Bay designed for high school freshman and sophomore FFA members.

Water boils at 212 degrees. The student development conference is focused on taking students to the boiling point of leadership.

Leadership development, personal growth and career success through agricultural education is the mission of the National FFA Organization. Members start at the local chapter level in their home high schools and can become active at both the state and national levels. All students in rural, suburban and urban schools can benefit from the programs offered through agricultural education. The FFA is a component of agricultural education and helps students develop leadership skills through hands-on and life experiences.

The 212 conference is one of the many opportunities that FFA offers its members to develop leadership skills. The Wisconsin Association of FFA has 250 local chapters preparing more than 20,000 students in junior high and high school for careers in agriculture.
