GREEN BAY - The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay announced the names of students receiving academic honors for the 2011 fall semester.

High honors go to those earning a grade point average of 3.99 to 3.75. Honors are given to students earning a grade point average of 3.74 to 3.50.

Area students named were: Taa Egli, Monroe, honors; Wendy Huber, Monroe, honors; and Gregory Lynch, Monroe, high honors.

MANKATO, Minn. - Laura Chopp was named to the dean's list for the 2011 fall semester at the College of Science, Engineering and Technology of Minnesota State University.

Chopp earned a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0, carrying 12 or more regular credits. She is a recipient of the University's Presidential Scholarship.

Chopp is a 2010 graduate of Monroe High School and is the daughter of Tom and Cindy Chopp, Monroe.
