SHULLSBURG - After five years of service to the Diocese of Madison, including three years at St. Matthew Parish in Shullsburg, Father Anthony Swami Aakula has left Wisconsin to return to his native India.

Several priests in the diocese recently gathered at Bridges in Darlington to say farewell. Aakula originally came to help during the priest shortage; he now plans to go to Texas and then return to India.
