Colleen Kolden

Colleen Kolden, age 79 of Monroe, died on Wednesday, August 7, 2013. She was born September 2, 1933, the daughter of Salmer and Tena Bowman. She married Willis Kolden September 23, 1951. She worked at Advance Transformer for over 25 years. Colleen was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Monroe Moose Lodge #599.

Surviving are her husband, Willis, sons, David (Kathy), Bruce (Mary), Curtis (Rhonda), and Brian (Shirley) Kolden all of Monroe, grandchildren: Brandi (Brian Wirth), Michael (Katie), Brittany, Kelsey and Stephanie, great-granddaughters: Kaylee, Carly and Ella, brothers, Stanley (Madeline) and David Bowman, sisters, Donna (Don) Ott and Deanne (Dean) Signer.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Salmer Bowman Jr.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home with Rev. John Tabaka officiating. Burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

I remember playing with the boys at their big brick house on the hill when I was growing up. She was always so nice to me. My heartfelt sypathies to the family.

To all of the Kolden Family: Cookie was such a joy to be around and talk to, and I still remember your mom and dad going out dancing and babysitting you first 3 boys, what memories back then. You have our deepest sympathy.

Sending sympathy to you for the loss of Cookie. I remember good times bowling in New Glarus with them and Deanne and Dean. I recall her big, soft heart. Sharon
