Pass, catch, learn
Now in his second year of helping coach Blaze football, Ron Markham says his favorite part is watching the boys improve each day. The program, which is put on by the Green County Family YMCA, teaches necessary football skills and about working together as a team. "Sportsmanship is a big deal," Markham said. There are 93 boys in the program in grades five through eight. The boys practice and have their home games at the Dr. Scholl Field at the YMCA. If given the choice of throwing a game-winning touchdown pass or coming up with a game-winning interception return for a touchdown, Monroe senior Brayden Zettle didn't hesitate to answer.
