'All you need is some cleats'

Hoping to help foster a greater appreciation of their most beloved sport, four native Brazilians spent a week at the Green County Family YMCA in Monroe teaching 7- to 16-year-olds about the many nuances of soccer.

Registration has started for the 43rd annual city doubles tennis tournament coming up on July 19-20.

The doubles tournament is sponsored by the Monroe Parks and Recreation Department and is open to anyone.
