The Bangor football team may want to revise and steal the U.S. Olympic motto, "Faster, Stronger, Higher" to bigger, stronger and faster after the Cardinals rolled to a 37-14 win over Black Hawk in a WIAA Division 7 state championship game Thursday at Camp Randall Stadium.

Dignity, support guide Warriors
It's always tough for teary-eyed teenagers to field questions from reporters stuffing recorders, cameras and notebooks near them after losing the biggest game of their life.

The Black Hawk football team's 37-14 loss to Bangor in the WIAA Division 7 state championship game was a lesson in sportsmanship and winning and losing with dignity.

Milz named all-state, Six Rivers top player
The accolades keep rolling in for Black Hawk senior running back Brody Milz.

Milz was named first-team Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All-State at linebacker and honorable mention all-state at running back. Milz also was named the Six Rivers Conference Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year. He was first-team all-conference at running back and linebacker.
