Gary Lee Phillips, age 61, of Monroe, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 after a brief illness.
Gary graduated from Monroe High School, and attended Madison Business College. He enjoyed Harley riding, snowmobiling, Foosball, and most of all, hanging out with his friends.
He was a long-time vice-president of Phillips Furniture of Monroe and a good salesman, who enjoyed selling to his friends and neighbors.
He is survived by two brothers (both from Monroe): Ralph (Sharon) Phillips, Larry (Pam) Phillips, and two sisters: Vicki Phillips (of Monroe), and Shan (Bob) Leatherman of Olathe, Kansas. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Ralph O. Phillips and Winnifred Phillips.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at SHRINER-HAGER-GOHLKE funeral home (1455 Mansion, Monroe, Wis.). Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Brick (tavern), in Gratiot, on Saturday, July 21st, from 2:00 - 6:00 pm to honor Gary, but also to honor his many friends, who he dearly loved.
