MONROE/BRODHEAD - Pearl Marie Williams, age 91, of Monroe, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at Pleasant View Nursing Home. She was born on May 14, 1922 in Monroe, WI, the daughter of Otis and Bertha (Shain) Wells.
Pearl was a lifelong resident of Monroe. She had been a waitress at many different restaurants in the area and will be remembered as being a gracious hostess when anyone came to her home.
She is survived by five daughters. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Douglas Thrasher, two brothers, and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Monday, October 21, 2013, at the D.L. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD, WI. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Juda, WI. My grandmother is also survived by 2 Grandsons: Michael Kiefer, and my brother Kevin Kiefer. Grand daughter, Paulita Miller (Kiefer). Great Grandchildren: Jennifer, Michelle, Rebekah, Paul. Great Great Grandson Donnovon. My Grandmother Pearl inspired me to learn how to cook as a child and gave me cookbooks on a regular basis. My Grandmother was a wonderful woman that will be missed by everyone that knew her.
