Habitat Volunteers Repair Home
Habitat Volunteers Repair Home
The weekend of Sept. 13 and 14 brought a lot of action to the Blanchardville community as the Habitat of Green County Volunteers took on a project to rebuild a retaining wall. The home previously built by Habitat for Humanity needed repair, and several dedicated volunteers stepped up to the challenge despite a little rain. The repair project was the launch of a new initiative called "The Critical Home Repair Program" being offered by Habitat for Humanity of Green County, where eligible applicants can request assistance with small to moderate size critical home repairs. For more information or to receive an application, contact Habitat at admin@greencountyhabitat.org or call 608-329-4024. To learn more about upcoming volunteer opportunities, to support, or find out about ways to donate towards these and other activities contact Habitat. Habitat of Green County will host a picnic celebration from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 11 at Recreation Park, N. 1700 22nd Ave., Monroe. To RSVP, email admin@greencountyhabitat.com or call 608-329-4024.
