MAC welcomes new director
Kathy Hennessy, executive director the Monroe Arts Center, began June 1. For 18 years, she was part of a nonprofit organization she co-founded, helping children with a rare speech disorder that impacted her own two children. A Pittsburgh native, Hennessy said moving to Monroe fulfilled her dream of living in a small town.

MONROE - When Kathy Hennessy saw a posting for executive director of the Monroe Arts Center and photos of the community and the building on her computer in her native Pittsburgh, she was impressed.
