Back to School Clothing and School Supplies Event at St. Victor School
Barbara Kopp and Elaine Brukwicki, president of the Catholic Daughters of America, organize clothes Thursday for the Back to School Clothing and School Supplies event at St. Victor School. The CDA has been doing the event for eight years. Brukwicki said the organization received a $1,000 grant this year from the Apostolate for Persons with Disabilities, a small grant from Wal-Mart and several donations from people in the community. The CDA was able to collect 280 backpacks and about 350 bags of school supplies. Also available were new socks and underwear, new and gently used coats and a wide variety of clothing.
